I have been creating websites since 2002. I graduated in 2006 with a degree in communication and minor in web development. Since then, I’ve spent most of my professional career as a code monkey. When I’m not developing new website projects, I spend my time fencing, doing photography, and reading comic books.
Photography, videography, rapier fencing, comic books, video gaming, and film. I love to educate others on LGBT issues as well.
I built an entirely custom ecommerce solution to fit the client’s business.
These websites were built entirely with HTML5, and some of them are designed specifically for mobile phones.
These projects involved special catalogs or functionality that needed to be created specially for the client.
These websites are mainly content driven, but each has several custom elements to it.
These projects are pieces of websites that I added on after the site was previously built. These elements might include something like a custom form or a set of internal pages that were drastically changed.
I built these websites using PHP, Wordpress, MySQL, and related technologies.

My role has been to define the direction and set the standards for the development team. I am responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training all new development staff. I ensure all projects are quoted out accurately with the correct specifications. I work heavily in Coldfusion on both the front and back end of development. I also monitor server stress loads, stability, and ensure that the servers are running smoothly. While managing all of that, I also work directly with clients and manage projects. For each of these projects, I keep the client informed of project status, ensure all collateral is in the right hands, establish internal milestones, and have a solid overall perspective on the project.
My job duties included creating up to four half hour TV shows a week. Each show included creating a rundown of elements, writing scripts for each element to a specific time length, assigning photos to each element, and proofing the final show for errors. I was also responsible for planning and producing remote shoots and any scripts needed for those shoots. Eventually my web development talents were discovered, and my job was retooled to focus on rebuilding a piece of software used by the video team. I utilized classic ASP and Microsoft SQL to build that application.
