Professional Experience

Rails Rumble 2008

Independent Project (2008 to 2008)

Over the course of 48 hours, I designed, developed, and deployed a fully functional Ruby on Rails application, which was then judged relative to 130 other web applications designed by teams of 1-4 Ruby on Rails developers across the globe. So2Speak was developed as a solo application, and took the award for “Most Innovative,” ultimately ranking at #20.

Online Lab Application

University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire (2008 to Present)

The psychology department of UW-Eau Claire relies on a rails-based web application to collect anonymous user data regarding gambling and how people perceive conditions. The application is undergoing a substantial rewrite, to convert it to a full-tested, RESTful application that can be maintained and improved upon for many years to come.
